Professor Kwamena Kwansah-Aidoo who holds a PhD from Queensland University of Technology, Australia, is the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Media, Arts and Communication (UniMAC). He is the immediate past Rector of the Ghana Institute of Journalism (GIJ). Prior to becoming Rector of GIJ in August 2018, he was a Professor of Marketing and Public Relations at the Swinburne University of

Technology in Melbourne, Australia. He began at Swinburne in 2007, as Head, School of Communication, Marketing and Tourism and later became Associate Dean International (ADI) from 2010 to 2013, combining both Head of School and deanship roles. Before Swinburne University, he worked in the early 2000s as a Senior Lecturer at Monash University in Gippsland, Australia where he established and headed their Public Relations degree program.

He is an accomplished researcher with broad research interests in Public Relations, Journalism, Media and Communication Studies and has published widely and variously in these areas. He has edited and published books on Media, Communication, Crisis and Cross-Cultural Communication. Also, he has published over 55 refereed journal articles, more than 20 book chapters and presented over 70 conference papers across the globe. He has served and continues to serve on the editorial boards of several international journals and has also served as an external examiner (Masters and PhD) for several local and overseas universities, including Australia and the USA.

Prof. Kwansah-Aidoo is a Member and former Chairman of Vice Chancellors Ghana (VCG), a Fellow and Council Member of the Institute of Public Relations (IPR) Ghana, Board Member of the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC) Board, Member of the Accreditation Committee of the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission, Member of the Quality Assurance Committee of the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission, Member of the Board of Directors of the Ghana Museums and Monuments Board, Chairman of the Working Committee of the Media Capacity Enhancement Program and Board Member of the National Cadet Corps. Prof. Kwansah-Aidoo has held visiting professorship positions in Ghana, Australia and the USA. He calls himself an African “world citizen” having spent three decades living, studying and working in a number of different countries on four continents. A self-proclaimed enthusiastic and proud Old Vandal, Prof. Kwansah-Aidoo is an alumnus of the University of Ghana, Legon. He is an old student of the Akosombo Experimental School, Akosombo International School, Suhum Sec. Tech., Cape Coast Workers College and Ghana National College.

Kofi Don-Agor is associated with the Parliamentary media of Ghana, adequately organized, confident and self-Motivated Communicator, Climate Change activist, Media Professional and Client Relationship Personality (CRP) with years of demonstrated accomplishment, in major aspects of media activities and Marketing Communication.

His experience gained through his work for over 18 years with companies and government agencies, Members of Parliament as well as NGOs, groups and individuals at various levels, he is also the director of the Centre for MPS Research and Advocacy (CeMPRA-Africa), a center working on a project that's researching and advocating on activities of the legislative arm of government in Ghana.

Kofi Don-Agor is the founder of CARE RIGHT Foundation, the Director of PMC Concepts a company involved in TV/Radio Advertisement and Contents development, he is a farmer and love politics, he contested the Ayensuano Constituency seat in 2016 Parliamentary elections in Ghana, Don-Agor is the President of Climate Communications and Local Governance (CCLG-Africa), he led the group to the UNFCCC COP26 held in Glasgow-UK he was also invited to the Climate Chance Europe Summit held in Nantes France-March 2022.

He was part of the Communications Committee and Working Group for the National Planning Committee of the 2nd Africa Climate Change Summit held in Accra Ghana, organized by the Climate Chance Association in collaboration with the Ministry of Local Government and the National Association of Local Authorities of Ghana, and chaired the sub-communication committee.

He attended the African COP27 in Egypt, and organized a round table conference for climate communicators from Malawi, Kenya, Zambia, Brazil, Nigeria, Ghana and the Climate Vulnerable Forum. He loves working in a challenging and competitive environment where practical customer relationship experience would be fully utilized and developed for the benefit of the CLIENT and the institution to achieve the needed aims and objectives.

Dr. Antwi-Boasiako Amoah is an Acting Director in charge of Climate Vulnerability and Adaptation at the Climate Change Department of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Ghana. He has been working in the environment and climate change space for the past 17 years.

Dr. Amoah is a lead member of Ghana’s Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC) implementation team. He is deeply involved in the preparations of the National Communications (NCs), Biennial Update Reports (BURs) and the Adaptation Communications in Ghana. Dr. Amoah is currently coordinating the preparation of the National Adaptation Plan (NAP) project in Ghana. He is an experienced climate change negotiator within the UNFCCC process and currently leads the G77 and China on the NAPs negotiations. Currently, Dr. Amoah serves on the Green Climate Fund (GCF) Board as an Alternate Member for the African region.

He is a lead figure in climate change capacity building both at the national and sub-national levels. He has led several training and capacity building programmes on climate change for the youth, private sector as well as the Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies (MMDAs).

Dr. Amoah is also a researcher and a Part-Time Lecturer at the Centre for Climate Change and Sustainability Studies at the University of Ghana, Legon where he undertakes research, teaching and theses supervision for graduate students.

Dr. Nii Addo Bruce is a Veterinarian and Administrator he holds Masters in Animal Genetics MBA in Strategic Planning and Conflict Resolution Post Graduate certificate in Environmental Protection.

Prof. Nana Ama Browne Klutse is a distinguished scholar and climatologist with a proven track record of significant contributions to understanding climate change and its impacts. Her academic background and professional achievements exemplify her deep commitment to advancing climate science, fostering international collaboration, and promoting sustainable practices. Prof. Klutse has extensive experience in research, leadership, and service in the field of climate change. She has contributed substantially to various climate-related initiatives. She is Associate Professor at the Department of Physics, University of Ghana.

Prof. Klutse is Vice Chair of the Working Group I of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC). She has been a key contributor to several international working groups, panels, and scientific committees focused on climate change adaptation and mitigation. She has served the IPCC in various capacities for over seven years and is a Lead Author in Working Group I of the Sixth Assessment Report and represents Ghana in IPCC sessions. She is also a Member of the Task Group on Data Support for the IPCC Sixth Assessment Report, among others.

Prof Klutse serves also as a board member of the UNESCO Basic Sciences Programme. Her expertise in synthesizing complex scientific information and translating it into actionable policy recommendations has profoundly impacted climate change adaptation and mitigation efforts at global, regional and national levels. Academic and governmental institutions have recognized Prof. Klutse's influence on policy formulation and implementation, further affirming her credibility and competence in the field.

Hon. Dr. Godfred Seidu Jasaw is a Social Policy and Sustainability Science expert with over a decade work experience in and out of Ghana. He is an alumnus of the London School of Economics & Political Science and a recent graduate of the United Nations University- Tokyo. He holds a PhD in Sustainability Science and a master’s degree in Social Policy Planning in Developing Countries.

He served as a commission member at the National Development Planning Commission (NDPC, 2010- 2014) that developed amongst others, the Ghana Shared Growth and Development Agenda I & II for the Government of Ghana. Dr. Jasaw was senior lecturer at the University for Development Studies (UDS) for over a decade with several of his students in high places.

He has produced several peer reviewed academic journal articles and policy briefs. He has won a couple of international collaborative research grants and has undertaken several community development interventions aimed at influencing policy and building resilience in several communities in Ghana. He has provided several consultancy services to District Assemblies, NGOs, International Development Partners such as JICA, USAID, GIZ and DFID. His current interest is in providing cutting edge research output to support social policies in the context of natural resources, climate & ecosystem change and crop value chains.

Hon. Dr. Jasaw is currently the member of parliament for Wa East constituency. He is a Deputy Ranking member of the Food,
Agriculture and Cocoa affairs committee and a member of the Appointments Committee

Prof. Isaac Abeku Blankson is a professor of communication and public relations and is currently the president of the African University College of Communications (AUCC). Prior to this, he served as the vice president and interim pro-vice-chancellor of the Ghana Communication Technology University.

Professor Blankson was the board chair to the Ghana Technology Innovation Hub in the Accra Digital Center, a World Bank funded project under the Ministry of Communication. While in the USA, Professor Blankson served in various offices, most recent was as the chair and director of technology in the Department of Applied Communication as well as the special advisor to the Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences at the Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, USA, among others. Currently, he is a resource person and consultant to several organizations on strategic communication, media, public relations, science reporting, and environmental communication, among others.

Professor Blankson holds a PhD in Communications from Ohio University (USA), two master’s degrees in International Affairs/Public Relations from Ohio University (USA) and Human Geography from the University of Oslo (Norway), a first degree in Geography from the University of Ghana, and a certificate in Environmental Geography from the University of Oslo, (Norway). His research focuses on communication technologies and media in new and emerging democracies, public relations practices in developing societies, and media criticism.

He has authored several publications and is co-editor of books such as Public Relations Management in Africa. Volume 1: Exploring Organizational Impact (2023, published by Palgrave MacMillan); Public Relations Management in Africa. Volume II: The Practical, the Conceptual and the Empirical (2023, published by Palgrave MacMillan); and Negotiating Democracy: Media Transformations in Emerging Democracies (2007, published by State University of New York Press.

Lawrencia Agyepong (PhD) is a lecturer with the Ghana Institute of Journalism with 12 years of experience in Media and Communication Studies and is widely recognized consistently for performance excellence and contributions to success in the communication training industry.

Lawrencia is a focused researcher who is dedicated to innovative, dynamic and organized work. She has published a number of scholarly articles in many reputable journals. Her research interest is in the field of political communication, political marketing, celebrity, gender, development communication, and cultural studies.

Lawrencia is especially dedicated in studying the role of gender in politics and development in Ghana and has been part of many projects and advocacy within this field.

Lawrencia has been an active member of the university community and has served in several positions within UniMAC GIJ including Head of Department (Ag), Communication Studies, Chair of the GIJ@60 Committee, Head of Research and President of the GIJ chapter of the University Teachers Association of Ghana (UTAG) from 2019 to 2021

Hon. Prof. Hamza Adam is a former lecturer at University for Development Studies and an Associate Professor of Agricultural Extension and Rural Livelihoods.

He holds PHD in livelihoods with specialization in rural development from university of Reading in the United Kingdom.

His research areas include Agricultural Extension; Climate Change Adaption and Mitigation; Agricultural Transformation; Rural Livelihoods and Gender and Development. He has also published 28 peer reviewed papers in internationally recognized journals.

He is the current member of parliament for Kumbungu constituency in the Northern region. Prof Hamza Adam serves in Parliamentary committees including Environment, Science and Technology; Gender and Development; Agriculture and Cocoa Affairs and Education.

He is the Deputy ranking member of committee on Environment, Science and Technology.

Dr. Maxwell Ampong is the Director of Environmental Careers Organization of Africa (ECO Africa), leads efforts in fostering sustainable growth across the continent.

ECO Africa’s commitment to nurturing careers and enhancing the environmental workforce aids in aligning Ghanas environmental efforts with international standards and best practices.

Dr. Collins Gameli Hodoli is a lecturer at the University of Environment and Sustainable Development in Ghana and the Founder and Director of Operations at Clean Air One Atmosphere - a non-profit using air sensors to revolutionize air quality monitoring and data communication in Ghana and Wider Africa. He received his PhD from Cranfield University in the UK and then returned to Ghana to apply his expertise close to home.

He has secured a number of international collaborations with Global North experts. In particular, he is a member of CAMS-Net (a “network of networks” for air quality), National Science Foundation Funded group led by Prof Daniel M. Westervelt of Columbia University, USA. Through this project, Collins was one of a few network members to receive seed funds for small air quality research projects. His project aims to understand PM2.5 exposure using well-calibrated low-cost sensors in agricultural settings in Ghana.

He is also involved in another CAMS-Net project involving PM2.5 exposures in schools in the Ashanti region of Ghana. Generally, Collins collaborated with Global North experts on ground-breaking air pollution research and capacity building in West Africa towards air pollution management and control. Collins is an emerging leader in the field of African air pollution exposure. In addition to his scientific research accomplishments, he is also passionate about environmental activism in his home country and is leading the fight for cleaner air for all Ghanaians. His work is featured in globally recognized American Geophysical Union Eos and Purple Air blog.

Kwame Nsiah Apau, known popularly as Okyeame Kwame (OK), is an award-winning musician. For 25 years, Okyeame Kwame has been recording and performing progressive music that brings joy, happiness and development to his audience. Conscious of the eminent need to spread love in the world, the lyricist consistently churns out songs with dAidactic themes which are poetic and family-friendly.

He goes beyond soothing the ears and calming the spirit with his music and throws his gravitas behind developmental activities and nation building agenda. Kwame's ability to stay relevant over two decades shows evidence of his hardworking /team playing spirit and leadership. Okyeame Kwame is not your regular artist; he is an activist. Even though he holds the coveted award of artiste of the year from 2009 Ghana Music Awards, his iconographic excellence spreads to advocacy, youth empowerment, business and entrepreneurship, higher education, Climate consciousness and promoting high family values. It is no wonder therefore that he has been acknowledged and awarded by The Asantehene, Otumfour Osei Tutu, Mayor Cranley, president of Ghana, Barack Obama, as well institutions like World Bank, UNICEF, National Commission on Culture, World reader and many more.

As a writer, Okyeame Kwame has co-authored two books with his wife; Love Locked Down - finding a lasting Love Relationship (Book 1), Maintaining a Lasting Love Relationship (Book 2). He has also served as a Columnist at Spectator, and a writer at Ghana Web with his own blog. Okyeame Kwame, in 2014 and 2016 wrote two (2) stage plays titled the Versatile Show and The Beggar respectively.

Margaret Impraim works on climate justice, climate governance, and gender equality within the youth climate movement in sub-Saharan Africa. Working at the grassroots and volunteering in youth-led initiatives, she is experienced with the biases of youth due to climate vulnerability.

Currently, she is the Assistant Global Coordinator, Youth Climate Councils Global Alliance, for the Green Africa Youth Organisation, where she contributes to the meaningful inclusion of youth in climate decision-making. She also leverages her experience in youth-government partnerships to guide youth movements in other countries that seek to influence climate policy and climate justice. She was a party delegate for the 26th and 27th Conference of Parties in Glasgow, the Country Contact Point for COY 17 and the Conference Coordinator for the Local Conference of Youth on Climate Change in Ghana, a precursor event to COY 17 and COP 27, that sought to build youth capacity and draw out youth demands into a national youth climate statement.
